About
Niall became an outdoor enthusiast as a young lad by completing all three Duke of Edinburgh Awards at school. Having travelled the world through snowboarding he gained the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors Award while based at Mont Tremblant in Canada.Niall returned to Edinburgh to gain a BA Honours in Marketing Management. During his time at University he got more involved in rock climbing and Mountaineering. He went on to complete his Summit and Skills course in Switzerland with the International School of Mountaineering.
This gave Niall the skills and confidence to climb mountains such as the Zinalrothorn (4221 meters), Weissmies (4017 meters) and January Jigsaw on Buachaille Etive Mor. As a passionate mountain biker he gained the Scottish Mountain Bike Leaders Award. He has eighteen years of experience with cross country and downhill bike disciplines. During the last five summers Niall has spent his holidays in Morzine and Avoriaz to ride the world class trails.
He has competed in the Mega Avalanche 33 km downhill race in Alpe d’ Huez in 2010. This summer holiday Niall is travelling to Whistler in BC to compete in the Garbonzo downhill mountain bike race.
Niall is a fully qualified personal trainer, snowboard instructor, mountain bike instructor and nordic walking instructor.
